#instameetgt

A couple of weeks ago was the world wide instameet, I had the pleasure to be part of this amazing project here in Guatemala. I really have to thank from the bottom of my heart to Mono del Espacio for making me part of this and most of all, believing in me. (you should all check his work out, it's incredible!)

That day was a really hot, but in the morning rained a little. So I decided to wear was a skort (for the heat), a super comfy tank from Zoad 1, (this tanks look great with anithyng you wear!) an amazing rain vest (in case it rained) and some high heel booties.

This is another way to wear a skirt for rainy days, again I think the key is layering (in this case the vest.) and the booties, so my feet wouldn't get wet. This is a more easy going outfit, super comfortable and I just felt great the whole day (I walked nonstop that day!).

Thank you so much Gustavo Dávila and Lester Liquens for this beautiful photos!!

Waltheria for rainy days

Thanks to the lovely anon who wrote me a couple of days ago, I am going to write a few posts of how I dress for grey rainy days, wearing shorts, skirts and dresses.

I think the best way to dress for rainy days is by adding layers to your outfit. By layers I don’t just mean adding a jacket or coat, it can also be stockings or leggings. These ones look really good with shorts, skirts and dresses. (Personally I don’t like to wear leggings unless I’m going to my yoga class, but I do wear stockings a lot.)

For this outfit I based it on this great shirt by Waltheria. I mixed it with short shorts and some black stockings underneath.

For the shoes, I wore my trusty chelsea ankle boots. These boots have the power to look great no matter what I wear them with! Besides, there is nothing I hate more than getting my feet wet, so the best way to avoid this, is wearing boots, boties or pumps.

I also wore my fantastic C'santos necklace to add a little pop of color to the whole outfit.

It was a look really easy and fun to wear, it kept me warm and comfortable the whole day!

I'm 59

One of the trends I have been in love, since it came out in 2009, is the sporty trend. First of all it's super comfortable, second of all it always gives you an amazing effortless look.

The key when wearing a sporty piece is mixing it with unexpected pieces (at least one). This will make the outfit more interesting, the easiest way to do it is with the accessories. Mixing it with other sporty pieces makes it to predictable, sometimes predictable can be a little boring.

When I wear over-sized shirts or sweaters, I like wearing them with shorts or skinny jeans with high heels. This makes your legs appear longer, balancing the whole outfit.

This amazing photos were taken by the awesome photographer: Pablo E. Segura. Thank you so so much!!

Meet me at the Prime Room.

One of my favorite things to wear is black tops with black bottoms. You can never go wrong with it, it looks super chic, elegant and just amazing.

I like wearing black everything, but sometimes I like to change it a bit, by adding white accessories.
Mixing black and white is a timeless combo, it's classy and you can wear it in any season. Adding metallic details gives so much more style to a b&w outfit.

To keep the outfit simple and classy, I like to wear pointy pumps. These type of heels have the ability to look amazing no matter what you wear. That's why I always say "When in doubt, wear pointy pumps."

I loved wearing this look, I felt such a classy, badass, gal! It's probably one of my favorite outfits I've ever worn.

Special thanks to the amazing photographer Pablo Estrada Segura, for the terrific pictures!

Black dragons for rainy days.

I love sunny days, but my heart has a special place for grey days. I love when the days are slow, when you don't know what time it is, the smell of wet earth and the chilly drizzles. Personally I like to spend those days alone, enjoying the simple things the day is giving me.

For that, I don't see the point in wearing a color when the day is grey. I feel like if I do so, I'm sabotaging the nature of the day. I enjoy bringing all the feelings the day gives me through my outfits.

There is nothing better than wearing a comfy sweater on rainy days. It just comforts me in a really special and unique way. (No other piece makes me feel that way, I adore sweaters!) Plus, I love how versatile they are, I can wear them with pretty much anything.

Again, a special thanks to the genius Pablo Estrada Segura, for the amazing photos!!

The printed Kimono

My dad gave me this kimono last year for my birthday. He's always trying to make me wear bright colors and bold prints. I must say he has great taste, but it's not easy wearing his presents.

Wearing this bold kimono is no exception!
When I wear bold trendy pieces I like to mix them with basics in neutral colors, so this is how I usually wear this kimono.

I wore a super basic look underneath, a black tank top with denim shorts and nude ankle straps.

I like to wear all my dad's presents, no matter how colorful they are. We have had a strong connection, since I was a baby and I still love to be daddy's little girl!

Special thanks to Pablo Estrada Segura for the lovely photos!

Denim on demin

First of all, I'm really sorry for the delay! I had some trouble organizing myself this days, but here I am!

For tonight's post I want to share with you one of my favorite combinations of all times: The 90's classic, denim on denim. I think the coolest mix you can pull off, is wearing a light denim shirt with light jeans. It creates an awesome effortless monochromatic look.

For this look, I wore some acid wash cropped jeans and mixed it with a light denim shirt. (This shirt is so special, it was my mom's back whe she was about my age.) I wanted to keep it simple and organic so I chose to wear it with white accessories.

I adore how cropped jeans, or pants in general, look with pointy pumps. My legs look longer and slimmer, it simply looks incredibly classy.

This is how I wore another simple, comfy and effortless look, hope you like it!!

Thanks a lot Pablo Estrada Segura for the amazing photos!!

#rooftophair

So, the other day I did one of the most craziest, amazing things in my life: I watch the sunset on top of a really tall building. (I know it's pretty lame that being the craziest thing I've ever done, but my life is pretty dull.)

Honestly, I did this because I have amazing crazy friends who invite me to do crazy amazing stuff, just to watch the sunset. I'm so glad I met them!! My year has been terrific so far because of them, they have encouraged me, in a way to try new things, and I love it!

Anyway, that day on the roof, was super windy. The wind literally moved me, so there was no way in hell I was going to stand on the edge of that building.

As you can imagine, my hair has all over the place, it left me a wild blow out. Actually it looked pretty cool!
I went to an art exhibition later that night and it had this beautiful beachy vibe. (A lot of good things can come out for climbing a roof top.)

Thank you so so much to Mono del Espacio, José Pablo Anleu, Pablo E. Segura, Gurstavo Davila, Johannes, Carmen Rubio for the amazing day and photos! Sorry, I couldn't post all of the photos :( But you can check them out on instagram: #sustaincity

Thank you very much for reading!
