Stripes, Squares, Butterflies and fun!

Wearing pants in winter can get a little boring. As you all know, I love to wear skirts and dresses, they make me feel free and pretty. So, why not wearing them on winter?

This time, I'm showing you how I wore this flattering, striped, pencil skirt. I wanted a simple yet feminine look. I mixed my skirt with a basic white crop top and added a trendy third piece: A light printed poncho. To make the look interesting and fun to wear.

I must say that this day wasn't cold, actually it was sunny with cool breezes every now and then. That's why my flirty skirt look worked.

Favorite picks of the month..

For now on, I am going to start writing about my favorite things of the month. Things I have bought, borrowed or recycled.

This two are my picks for this month. I got the shoulder bag a couple of weeks ago, it's small but really useful. It makes me carry the real important stuff, nothing gets lost and it's super comfortable to carry.
I got this book to help a blogger friend of mine. I love to collect books, specially style and fashion books. They always give me tons of inspiration and I just love the smell of all kinds of books.

Great white walls..

The days are definitely getting colder and colder. As you know, I love to wear skirts and dresses and I still like to wear them for these cold winter days.

I bought this bodycon, long sleeve mini dress last month. It's so comfortable and easy to wear.  I wore it for the first time on a cold day in particular. I went with some friends to an outdoors rustic pizza Restaurant. I chose to wear my dress with a fur dress, over the knee socks with sandals.

I was really comfortable and cozy the whole day.

Simple, beautiful and organic.

It's no secret that I like to take care of my skin and hair, mostly because they are really dry and delicate. So I am going to be writing more about the beauty products I use. Maybe some of you will find it helpful.

I bought these "Davines" hair care products a couple of weeks ago. These are Italian products made of 100% organic ingredients, salt free, sulfate free and eco-friendly. The great thing about them is that you can mix and match with different care lines, depending on your hair care needs. You don't have to buy the whole line to get amazing results.

As you can imagine I made my own combo; I chose the nourishing, illuminating shampoo with chestnut milk (for colour treated hair) and mixed it with the absolute beautifying conditioner with roucou oil (for all kinds of hair), and  with the multi benefit beauty treatment with roucou oil (for all kinds of hair).

I saw the results the first day, my hair now is softer, illuminated and just healthier. If you have thin dry hair I highly recommend it. It will do fantastic things for your hair.

Rainy Monday

Drizzly days are one of my favorite kinds of day. The peace these days have make everything get better. The sound of the water drops touching the asphalt, the sound of the leaves waving with the  cold wind and how the streets become mirrors with drawn rainbows.

For these days I like to feel super comfortable, so I wear my favorite kind of clothes: A comfy knit sweater, my neoprene mini skirt, over the knee socks, chunky platforms and my trusty faux fur coat. These are literally my favorite items on my closet. They look great with every clothe I own.

Black stripes

Winter here in Guatemala is crazy, sometimes the days get really cold and some others are sunny with a cold drizzle. For this sunny winter days I like to wear jeans or some warm pants, so in case it rains I don't get my legs wet.

Hats always keep me warm and cozy. Plus, they have the ability to add lots of style to a plain outfit. So, I wanted to keep this look really simple. I don't like to over power a look by adding too much stylish pieces. I'm a one stylish piece per outfit kinda girl.
