"The question is not who is going to let me; It's who is going to stop me."

- Ayn Rand

I have to admit I'm not quite an adventurous person. For most people I can be consider as a dull person. I rather stay at home, go for coffee, visit a new restaurant, visit a friend, having a girly day with my best friend than going to a crowded wild party or a trendy bar.

But the wild adventure I really enjoy doing is,  city sightseeing with my crazy, awesome friend Mono del Espacio. We have visited some really fascinating places, most of them forgotten by the society.

This wall in particular was designed by one of the most famous Guatemalan cubist artists: Carlos Merida.

In this outfit I wanted something sporty yet girly, so I chose this badass vest from Dress Code Guate, a neon sports bra and a printed pencil skirt. (If you are the kind of girl who's always searching for unique pieces, you should definitely check out what Dress Code Guate has to offer.)

Sunny Salmon Knit

I love to wear shorts, but sometimes it gets kinda boring wearing them with just a top. I get this feeling like I can style them a lot more!

The other day I visited the boutique "BOHO", here in Guatemala City, and I found this amazing salmon knit dress. The minute I saw it I knew it would go perfect with shorts and a crop top or in this case a sports bra. Plus it's super comfy, the length is splendid and the color enhances my sun kissed skin. So I had to have it!!
BOHO has a lot more pretty, feminine dresses. You girls should definitely go visit!! It's truly a cozy, beautiful boutique!!

Naked legs and Wanderlut feet: The Perfect Match!

A few weeks ago I had the honor to model some of the most awesome hand made shoes in Guatemala: Wanderlust Wear. (for more info follow the link)

I mixed this amazing shoes with own personal style. I created three different outfits inspired by three pairs of Wanderlusts. When I wear cool shoes I like to show them off, the best way to do it, is by keeping my legs bare, simple prints and neutral colors.

I must add that this shoes are not only super cool, but also super comfy! Plus these ones in particular have a limited edition print made by the talented artist Kris Tate.

Follow the yellow big road

One of my favorite things to wear are oversized clothes. Some experts say that you shouldn't wear an oversized top with an oversized bottom, then you wouldn't show off your body. Honestly I couldn't care less about showing off my body. Actually I like hiding it. It's super comfy and with a pair of killer shoes, I manage to add edge to my oversized look.
If I decide to wear my hair up, I would wear a statement necklace to add a bit more edge.

Can't find my keys..

I've never written about how I wear my bags before. I have to admit it's because I don't give them the importance they deserve as a fashion accessory. Honestly, I use them as a necessity to carry all my everyday musts.

So when I buy a bag, I take in a lot of consideration this special details:

- A nice medium size ( not to big like a tote, not to small like a clutch), so all my essentials fit nicely in it.
- They must be versatile. So I can use it as a hand bag or a shoulder bag in case I get tired of carrying it.
- I love when they have mini bags on the inside, so I can have more organized my stuff.
- Last but not least, I always buy them in neutral colors. So I can wear them with all my clothes.

Now you know why you don't see my bag on my looks.

Doing the don'ts

One of the most classic don'ts according to some fashion rules, is wearing socks with sandals and even worst, with sandal heels.

So for tonight's look I wanted to show you guys how I did wear socks with lace up sandal heels. I honestly do not care if it's a "don't", I like how it looks, It's a nice way to wear sandal heels during winter or rainy days.

For this look I wore some nude lace up sandal heels from Stradivarius with basic black cotton socks. I mixed it with a black skort and white basic shirt with a black leather jacket.
This is how I broke the rules in a B&W way for a perfect rainy day.

Wishing I was Ghost..

I'm currently obsessed with this song and even more with it's video! I love slow music with powerful lyrics, this has been my replay song for the past month.

Yesterday I had a nice chat over coffee with a good friend of mine, and we talked about the boring things we like. He made me want to share with you guys one of this boring things I love. For some of you this song and video might be boring or annoying, but I think it's genius it makes me feel an indescribable feeling.

Here are my favorite two sentences: " Was I too drunk to say what i said to you
was I too blind to see right through you.."
