Influencers by Distefano!

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure to be part of this stunning lookbook "Influencers by Distefano". I have to say, I've never had such a great time during a photoshoot. With out a doubt this was one of the most fun experiences I've had this year.

The campaign was dedicated to Distefano's latest collection "Influencers". It's full of fun textures, fancy fabrics, subtle nice details and great bright colors.

These are some photos of the lookbook, but you have to check out the whole lookbook here!! http://issuu.com/distefanoguate/docs/look_book_influencers-version2/1

Marble & Pink

One of my favorite textures of all times has been marble. I love how elegant and cold it is, it looks amazing in matte or polished. But I think what I love the most about it is how ancient it is and it's always on trend. (Now it's even a trendy print).

So why not wearing it! It's so perfect that it even looks cold and elegant on clothes.
For this outfit I wore a marble print mini skirt from Zara (no longer available) and mixed it with a basic t-shirt and a faux leather jacket in my favorite color: Pink!

I must say I failed with the shoes, I mean they look all right, but I think it would have looked much better with some ankle booties.

This beautiful photos were taken by my awesome and talented friend Pablo E. Segura.

Thanks a lot for reading guys!

I don't want fortune cookies, I want fortune walls..

Last Saturday I had the fortune to attend an art event, in one of the most awesome abandoned buildings in Guatemala city. There were a lot of really good artists who exposed their latest pieces, I really enjoyed almost all of the exhibitions. (Yep, I changed my hair color!)

I bumped into my awesome friend Mono del Espacio, who introduced me to Melvin. The amazing artist who filled with fortune and beauty a dull old wall, in front of all us who visited his exhibition.

For this event I chose to wear a smart outfit: a comfy pair of distressed black jeans, a coke t-shirt and a pale pink faux leather jacket, I just bought a couple of days ago. I love to wear faux leather jackets for rainy days, they really protect you from the rain without getting ruin, plus they always make you look like a rock star.

I also got my mani done a couple of days ago, with a Pollock paint inspired nail polish. It went perfect for the event so I was showing it a little bit off.

This awesome photos were taken by the super talented Mono del Espacio, check his tumblr out to see all the photos from that fun day!

The perfect match

One of my ultimate favorite texture combination is the classic leather and denim. It doesn't matter which pieces are, if one is denim and the other one is leather, I know I am going to have a great outfit, for sure.

What I love the most about this mix is that is for every one!! You can adapt it to your personal style and make it your own.

For this look I wanted something fresh, comfortable and simple. I wore a light washed denim shirt, I fold over the sleeves a little, to make it look more effortless and casual. Also I wore my sporty leather mini shorts, this ones have mesh on the sides, making them look super cool.

I have to say, I have an addiction with the sports trend, every single piece in this trend not only has the super comfortable factor, but also adds a super cool vibe to every outfit you wear it with. I call it the super trend, plus it goes well with every type of body.

To add a little allure to the look, I decided to wear my studded ankle strap sandals. I love to wear heels with shorts, cause they make my legs look super long. The trick to look good with heels and shorts is to wear heels with ankle straps, booties or pointy pumps. Never with platform pumps, gladiator heels, knee boots, or peep-toe pumps. For me these are a don't, they make me feel tacky.

This outfit was so easy to wear, I think I might repeat it more than once. Changing a bit the accessories to make it a little different.

leather and denim, can never go wrong!

For this post, I want to share one of my favorite combination: leather + denim.

I love to wear it! It's a basic combination you can never go wrong wearing it. It goes perfect from day to night. For that reason,  I usually wear it for super busy days. Those kind of days that I have tons of activities, and don't have time to change my outfit.

For this look I wanted something simple and fresh. So I went for a leather "LBD", which is super basic, but it can be a little boring if I don't get creative. I mixed it with a distressed, cropped, denim vest with studs to give it an effortless vibe.

To finish it, I added a comfy pair of "Chelsea boots" (cause I knew I was going to walk a lot!), to keep the look simple and fresh.

I have to say, this outfit really worked for me on that crazy busy Monday. It kept me fresh and stylish all day and night!
