I wear WEAR.

For this season ponchos and robes are super trendy. I just can't get enough of this pieces, they are really easy to wear. They go well with pretty much anything, always adding lots of style to plain looks.

I have to say that my ultimate favorite robe of my closet has to be this amazing feather print robe from "WEAR". I can literally wear it with anything anytime. I can either wear it on the beach with a bikini, crop tops and shorts or I can wear it for mild winter days, like in this look.

Wearing it makes me really happy, I feel super confident, stylish and simply great. I think it's a must having a robe on your closet. It will save your "I don't have anything to wear" kind of days. Mix it with a hat and you will look amazing.

Number 01.

I think one of the easiest pieces to wear is the basic "lbd". It can be a little tricky to wear it though, because it's so easy to wear it can also be boring looking. So my secret to wear a lbd is always buy  the dress with lots of attitude. With and edgy look so you would never look boring or predictable. Even if you just wear the dress with a pair of heels.

This dress is very casual, but it has the ability to look great with basically any pair of shoes, even the dressy ones. I can also add a denim or leather jacket or vest and it looks fresh and edgy.

Follow the yellow big road

One of my favorite things to wear are oversized clothes. Some experts say that you shouldn't wear an oversized top with an oversized bottom, then you wouldn't show off your body. Honestly I couldn't care less about showing off my body. Actually I like hiding it. It's super comfy and with a pair of killer shoes, I manage to add edge to my oversized look.
If I decide to wear my hair up, I would wear a statement necklace to add a bit more edge.

Doing the don'ts

One of the most classic don'ts according to some fashion rules, is wearing socks with sandals and even worst, with sandal heels.

So for tonight's look I wanted to show you guys how I did wear socks with lace up sandal heels. I honestly do not care if it's a "don't", I like how it looks, It's a nice way to wear sandal heels during winter or rainy days.

For this look I wore some nude lace up sandal heels from Stradivarius with basic black cotton socks. I mixed it with a black skort and white basic shirt with a black leather jacket.
This is how I broke the rules in a B&W way for a perfect rainy day.

Denim on demin

First of all, I'm really sorry for the delay! I had some trouble organizing myself this days, but here I am!

For tonight's post I want to share with you one of my favorite combinations of all times: The 90's classic, denim on denim. I think the coolest mix you can pull off, is wearing a light denim shirt with light jeans. It creates an awesome effortless monochromatic look.

For this look, I wore some acid wash cropped jeans and mixed it with a light denim shirt. (This shirt is so special, it was my mom's back whe she was about my age.) I wanted to keep it simple and organic so I chose to wear it with white accessories.

I adore how cropped jeans, or pants in general, look with pointy pumps. My legs look longer and slimmer, it simply looks incredibly classy.

This is how I wore another simple, comfy and effortless look, hope you like it!!

Thanks a lot Pablo Estrada Segura for the amazing photos!!

The grandma, grey cardigan

I think the god of basics has to be the cardigan! It has been a basic even before basics where invented. This is one of those weird pieces that looks great on babies, kids, teens, adults and even great grandma's!! Honestly which other piece has that ability? It's just amazing!!

The cardigan can be a little tricky, either you look like a kid or like a mom. (Yep! I was called "ma'am" a few times before, just like the blazer! )  The key to wear it young, is to keep your inner outfit with edgy yet simple pieces.
Here are my 3 personal rules when I wear a cardigan.

     1. Wear a tank top or a sleeveless top. There's nothing more uncomfortable than wearing a thick  sleeve.
Never ever, wear it with a button down shirt or dress! This immediately ages me.

    2. Wear easy going bottoms. It can be either any kind of shorts, cool jeans or a trendy skirt. Never a pencil skirt or trousers. They also immediately age me.

     3. Roll up a bit the sleeves, to give an effortless vibe to the whole look. ( I might break this rule sometimes, depending on the look I want to wear.)

For the shoes I don't have a rule. I literally wear any kind of shoe. For this look I wanted something more comfortable, cause I was going for a walk with my dog (a husky). So I really needed super comfy shoes for a busy hot summer day.

I loved this look, It not only worked for my morning walk with my dog, but also worked for a summer lunch and later when I grabbed some ice-coffee with friends.

Blue jeans, White shirt

For tonight's post I'm sharing another simple and basic outfit: The classic blue jeans mixed with a plain white shirt.

I always say, "when in doubt wear jeans." They are so versatile, no matter what, they will always look good whith anything, even with sneakers! The thing with jeans is that they must fit your body great.  I have slim legs, but that means that I also have a slim butt. So that means I get to wear any type of cut with a natural waist. The drop waist looks terrible on me from behind.

For this look I wore a light washed skinny jeans with a white silk, over-sized shirt. I love wearing skinny jeans with over-sized tops, it looks effortless and cool. If the shirt is to over-sized I like to tuck it a little inside the jeans.

I also wore a simple grey cardigan, to add a little bit more texture to the look. Plus it was a chilly  afternoon.

To add a pop of color I wore my bold coral red pumps, they are perfect for simple outfits. They have the ability to upgrade a sort of boring outfit to a great minimal one.

I wore this look for those crazy Mondays full of work. I felt super comfortable and fresh the whole day!

Those boyfriend shorts

Because April is the iconic month of summer here in Guatemala, I'm going to dedicate this month to post my simple effortless summer looks.

Tonight I'll like to write about my favorite pair of shorts ever! They don't show off my body as the others, but they are super comfy and easy to wear. They are actually real boyfriend shorts, they are made for men, that's why they fit me like they do.

That day in particular was super hot, so I really wanted a simple fresh look.
I wore my lovely boyfriend shorts with a simple basic white tank top. (You can never go wrong wearing blue jeans and a white shirt!)

I wanted to add something different to lift up a basic, kinda boring look, so I added this incredible body necklace. I love how it lifts up basic looks, it just gives life to literary any shirt.

I was feeling a little adventurous, instead of wearing black heels I decided to wear my statement coral red pumps. They gave a trendy vibe to a simple basic outfit.

So now you know simple and basic doesn't mean it has to be boring, with little details you can pull off basic looks!

(This great photos were taken by my amazing best friend! Thank you so much, love you!!)

Wearing White

Wearing all white was another thing I wanted to try this month. I have to say, this has been the biggest challenge ever!

I can create all white outfits for other people to wear, I find it so easy. But for me, it just didn't work..

First of all my white jeans don't fit anymore, they are two sizes bigger than my actual size, and all my white blouses are over-sized so it didn't work.  I tried, but I didn't felt comfortable, it was too loose and a lot of white for me (a "do you have this in black" kinda girl.)

But I did created a inspired look, that I did felt comfortable with.  Although this was the whitest I could go.

I wanted a simple clean oufit, I chose an oversize pj's inspired silk blouse, with a marble print fold over mini skirt. This piece adds so much style to any simple outfit, but I have to be honest, I can't bent over at all! So that makes it not so comfortable to wear, but for me it's worth it!

I really felt I needed a little bit more dark colors in my look so I wore a black berry lipstick. This one it's  "black berry color fast" from Max Factor.

Because the skirt it's too short, I decided to wear this amazing ankle strap sandals. This are one of my favorite heels to wear, they are super comfortable (I'm not lying!!) , plus they always give this classy vibe to any look I wear them with.

I didn't succeed in this challenge, but I was really glad and comfortable wearing this look!
